Indoor Training Resumes! | September 2021
With the Government guidance now allowing organised sports we have taken decision to re-open for indoor training. For this we decided to relocate to another venue. We are now located at -
Moorland Community Centre, Moorland Ave, Lincoln LN6 7NH

The 6th annual Worldwide 100 Kata for Karate Day Challenge event is a participation event that celebrates the rich tradition of Okinawan karate practice handed down over the centuries and now practiced worldwide by an ever growing number of karateka. The club took part by collectively performing 100 katas, starting and finishing with the first one you will learn, Tokyoko No1 (Kion Kata).

Lockdown | March 2020
Due to recent Government guidance, we had no choice but to suspend our classes in order to reduce the spread of Coronavirus. 

Whilst we all face unprecedented times, we would like to wish all our existing students to stay safe and to keep training. Watch this space for further developments.

Kata 100 | October 2019

1st Club Grading | Oct 2019 
Congratulations to everyone that passed our club grading, with over 75 years karate experience on the grading panel, our club members had it all to do and certainly proved why they deserved that next grade.
We also had four club members go for 2nd Dan, these four members have been training for many years and where put to through thier paces, all four being rewarded for all of the hard work with 2nd Dan Certificates.

1 Year Celebration | Sept 2019
LCKA celebrated being open with a birthday themed karate session, everyone enjoyed the session with cake at the end as the reward.
We cant thank everyone enough for all of the support and help, the club is growing stronger by the day thanks to all involved.
Thank you to member Bethan for our karate themed cake and congratulations to newest club member Ruby on winning the birthday giveaway.

We have Moved! | April 2019
LCKA are always evaluating and reflecting on how we can improve our karate, this is why the club has made the decision to move to new premises at Holy Cross Church Hall on Skellingthorpe Road. This Venue offers a larger space and better facilities for our members.

Our New Association | 1st December 2018
We are proud to announce that the club will be affiliating to one of the most successful associations in England Yanagi Kai karate association! Sensei Ian Swain is one of England’s finest coaches who has produced medalists nationally and internationally for numerous years. Lincoln City Karate Academy is looking forward to working with Ian and the other Yanagi Kai club instructors, we feel sure that it will provide opportunities & a solid base to build the club, exciting times ahead!!

Opening Night | 11 September 2018
Great turn out for our Opening Night! All these students and fellow black belts enjoyed their first session, for free! So why not come along to see what it’s all about.

Inflatable 5K Run | 8th September 2018
The boys entered and completed the Newark's Inflatable 5K run with mutliple obsticles to tackle, concluding with the leap of faith - a 3m drop onto a crash bag! Great bit of exercise and a lot of fun! No injuries and are karate training helped to pace ourselvers around the course.

East Midlands Open | 2 December 2017
Sensei Billy enters the East Midlands Open representing LCKA and wins Bronze in the senior male section.
