Lincoln City Karate Academy was founded on the principle to enjoy karate whether it’s for fitness, competition or to meet new people.
Officially formed on 1st January 2016, LCKA joined the Karate Academy Associates, an English Karate Federation approved association, led by former EKF Kata Coach Sensei Rob Bingham. Joining the association allowed the group to attend seminars and tournaments all over the UK, something they love to do to keep the knowledge fresh.
The following two years the founding members met on a weekly basis to continue their training, and spent their time trying different venues to find the best location and facilities. Their Senior club (ages 18+) opened on 11th September 2018, and later on in November opened the club to ages 14 and above. Following a successful backing from students we have now extended our age range and welcome new or existing students from the ages of 8 and above.
Our instructors are insured, DBS compliant and are First Aid trained. The club regularly updates the risk assessments and upholds a high standard of safety.
